Why learn to massage with me?

I began my journey into the world of massage 4 years ago. After finishing University I worked for short and traveled for long periods. However
I ultimately returned home in search of work. I wanted to combine my work with my love of travel, to have some skills that I could use anywhere. It was then suggested to me that massage would be perfect, all I would need are my hands and from that point I began dreaming of massaging on beaches and in other exotic places, those dreams would soon become reality.

The three days of training changed completely the way I look at human contact, how important it is and how little there is in our daily lives, it was an amazing experience. Once I had gotten over the nerves and developed some confidence I found the learning to be so satisfying. Each movement was broken down into three parts: reading instruction, watching a demonstration and then the practical, exactly like the learning on this site.

With my new skills I began massaging friends and family in my home town. This soon developed into a small business and before long I had saved enough money to travel again. I found it relatively easy to find work in Hotels and Youth Hostels, a printed notice in a reception or word of mouth are both great ways of generating interest. Working in Honduras, Guatemala, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia where I really found my touch with massage. I began to make the massage my own, changing the rhythm, adding or removing different movements. I began to understand that people want different things from massage. Some people really want their muscles relaxing; others just enjoy the contact or the silence.

In Mexico I set up my own business working from home and in hotels on the Caribbean Coast, close to Cancun.  During the rainy days on the beach I helped relieve the boredom in the hotels by teaching some of the guests how to massage themselves using my techniques. I was amazed by the interest shown. They soon began practicing on each other and eventually persuaded me to hold night time classes.

I made a lot of friends during those sessions and as the rainy season approached I began getting offers to move elsewhere, mainly North America and Europe. I worked in New York for a time, before settling in Cannes, France. The same situation occurred again, more and more clients and friends wanted to learn to massage but I just couldn’t find the time.

With the help of some friends I began to design this website.
